The New York office seeks a strong Account Supervisor to help lead the Healthcare Practice. As a team leader, you will manage the day-to-day direction of programs and budgets, oversee and implement media relations programs, and nurture client relationships. You will also have an opportunity to participate in new business activities.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage large to medium-sized accounts with input from senior leaders/group directors. He/she should have a solid of media strategy, project management, budgeting, counseling and overall management skills on healthcare accounts. The successful candidate will:
• Manage and execute large projects with enthusiasm and a team-building mindset
• Develop recommendations and implement strategic media relations programs
• Manage account teams to ensure that client needs are met on time and on budget
• Play an active role in the development of junior-level staff by contributing expertise to training programs, mentoring, etc.
• Write client ready materials include, but not limited to, presentations, client memos and media materials
A bachelor’s degree is required with a concentration in journalism/communications (preferred). Women’s health experience a plus.
A minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in healthcare public relations with issues management experience is required.
